The Enhanced carry handgun class begins at 8:00 am. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to class to complete the check-in. You must apply for your carry permit on the Tennessee website (https://Dl.safety.tn.gov) prior to class and bring your registration number with you. Also please get back to us as soon as you get your number, so we can finish your registration. To access this on the website, select Handgun Permits and then log in to e-Services. Your registration number is how we confirm to the state that you have completed the class. You will also need to bring: your driver’s license, an operational pistol with 50 rounds of ammunition, and eye and ear protection.
No live ammunition is allowed in the classroom by anyone. You must leave your handgun and ammunition in your locked car. Please leave your handgun unloaded with clips separated from the handgun in your car.
Turn cell phones off when in the classroom.
The range portion of the class consists of shooting from 3, 5, and 7 yards. We will be using NRA B29 targets. The class will be held in the dry fire building. We look forward to seeing you.
You will need to bring your lunch. Or let us know, Les our Clubhouse manager will make a hot lunch for anyone interested.

On behalf of the Fairfield Glade Sportsman Club, we thank you for pursuing your State of Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit!  Please consider the following information to enhance your learning experience:

Before class you must apply to the State:
You must apply for your Enhanced Carry permit on the Tennessee website at prior to attending class. Go to https://Dl.safety.tn.gov , then select Handgun Permits, then login to e-Services.  This is a State of Tennessee requirement. 

Location:
We will meet at our Fairfield Glade Sportsman Club Dry-Fire classroom located at 650 Shorty Barnes Road, Crossville, TN. The Dry-Fire classroom is located between the Clubhouse and the pistol ranges.  

Start / End Time:
Class will start promptly at 8 AM. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to class to complete the check in.  We will break for lunch around 1 PM, then continue until approximately 5 PM. 

What to Bring: 
Your State application number available at https://dl.safety.tn.gov
Notebook, pen, or electronic device (laptop, etc.) for note taking
A reliable handgun (revolver or semi-automatic) 
60 rounds of factory ammunition (no reloads)
Eye and ear protection (electronic hearing protection is preferred)
Lunch (microwave available), snacks, and drinks 

What to Wear:
Long sleeved shirt; no loose necklines
Long pants
The range is gravel, wear comfortable close-toed shoes
Baseball caps are recommended but not required. 
Consider bringing rain gear

When you Arrive at the Range:
Please leave your handgun locked in your car. Do NOT bring any live ammunition into the classroom.

Firing Range:
We will be shooting on the Fairfield Glade pistol range in the afternoon; targets are provided. The range course of fire includes 10 supervised practice round at 3 yards, followed by the 50-round qualification course from 3-, 5- and 7-yards using NRA B29 targets.
